Teaching Experience I have experience as an English tutor in Ulsan, South Korea. I taught University of Ulsan students English in small groups of 5 to 10 people, and helped them prepare for their TOEIC/TOEFL exams, while also befriending them and exchanging culture and conversation. I also had the opportunity to visit various private English teaching institutions with friends of mine who were working at hagwons, and got to experience first-hand their teaching styles and work obligations.

I've spent the past year as an English tutor and babysitter to various children in Paris, France. I've worked with kids from ages 3 to 10. I tend to prefer teaching older students or adults, but I'm great with children!
Explain About Your Personality I'm an open-minded, friendly, and cheerful person. I think it's extremely important to have these qualities when one enjoys traveling the world - the entire point is to put yourself in another person's shoes and learn from them. It is also essential in the classroom - in order to help students feel good about what they're learning, they need to be able to feel comfortable and happy about coming to class in the first place. I make sure of this by having a positive and energetic demeanor with everyone around me!

Dear Sir/Madame,
My name is Cori Ng, and I am a 26 year old American citizen currently living in Paris, France. Beginning with a year abroad at the University of Ulsan, where I led English tutoring groups to Korean university students while pursuing my Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Sciences, I have accrued a strong and applicable range of experience in teaching English as a second language to learners of all ages and backgrounds. My experiences while living in Ulsan, South Korea helped me to better understand the culture of education that drives students to learn English as a second language – English is the language of business, of travel, and of opportunity. Through tutoring Parisian children here in France, I have come to recognize that the drive to learn this language is a universal one, unbound by age or geographic location, and as a result I would very much relish the opportunity to teach English at your academic institution in South Korea.
As a teacher, I would make it my utmost priority to create a learning environment in which students feel both driven to learn and at ease with inquisitiveness. It is not always easy for young Koreans to commit to the idea of immersing themselves intensely in the English language, whether it be due to lack of interest or lack of motivation, and I want to be able to show them that learning English as a second language can be both fun and engaging within the right context – something that I believe is facilitated by teaching with friendly demeanor and positive attitude. By showing students that language learning can be enjoyable and educational rather than a burdensome chore, I hope to motivate as many youth as I can to pursue their studies vigorously and of their own accord – an essential skill in such a global and interconnected world.
I look forward to contacting you in the near future to discuss the possibility of an interview. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me via e-mail (cknetc@gmail.com), my French cellphone number (3 67 84 11), or Skype .
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best,

Coriantumr Ng
