 Cover Letter
Dear Director,

Spanish and Italian may be the languages of love and romance, but English is the language of communication. Being fluent in Spanish and understanding a little Italian, I, for one, know I can always fall back on my English to communicate with people around the world. It is my goal to give this gift to as many people who want it. I love to work with children because of their innocence in life, but I also enjoy working with adults for their genuine interest and application to the subject.

Success for a teacher is not something that can be measured in numbers and letter grades, but instead in smiles and excitement from the students. Whether children or business adults, there is a certain excitement that comes when achieving a goal and an understanding. Being Mexican and speaking Spanish fluently, I know I can help students achieve their goal in a fun, loving, and caring environment. When I was a child, memorization through repetition was not the way to learn, repetition while having fun and not realizing we were learning was the key.

Somehow teaching, children and adults, alike, have always come easy to me. While working with the preschool, elementary and secondary students at Chungdahm Learning, I had children running up to me hugging me when I would arrive, within the first week. I've learned to treat children with the same respect I treat adults. Their experience may be significantly less than an adult, but they are human beings as well. And even when adults act like children, there is an art to speaking to them also. Everyone just wants to be understood and by treating everyone with respect, this can be accomplished.

Along with this cover letter is my resume. It outlines my previous experiences with more detail. However, I hope that with this letter you, the employer, are able to see a personality beyond just words on a screen or a piece of paper. It is my wish that I get an opportunity to apply a voice and a face to the personality and the words. I thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this and hope that I may be able to thank you in person, or at least via skype on an interview. Thank you for your consideration.

Gratefully and sincerely,
